Probably the most unpleasant pub lunch ever! yesterday the pub was full of screaming children accompanied by adoring parents. The so called Manager had no idea of how to run a small pub. It was impossible to order. The service was incredibly slow and any attempt at service was totally absent. To avoid at all costs. A Sunday Lunch Disaster!

This place was, until recently, known as The Wellesley. It was named after Arthur Wellesley who most people know as the Duke of Wellington and pictures dotted around the pub still commemorate the Iron Duke and his battles. Being a military man, we are not sure whether he would approve of the light and airy décor and pastel shades but the service, the beer and the food are all pretty good. The problem with this place is that it exists for people who are too posh to go to other pubs. For example two young men who looked like a cross between Tom Parker-Bowles and a poodle sat supping their pints whilst another floppy-haired specimen tried to use the door (it was open), failed to enter the pub, but succeeding in making an arse of himself.
