The Chelsea Potter, 119 Kings Road, Chelsea

The Chelsea Potter, 119 Kings Road, Chelsea, SW3 4PL
The Kings Road is so-named as it used to be the monarch’s private road to Kew. It has been in a state of terminal decline ever since. It was a hip and happening place to be and be seen in the sixties and seventies, but now all that remains is a bland strip of retail that looks like any other shopping street in London. The pub provides a welcome haven for people escaping the mediocrity of it all. It serves traditional pub grub and a range of beers to suit most tastes (2 regular ales plus one guest). This place is refreshingly more down-at-heel than most in the locale with prices that don’t break the bank. It's a pub for real people and as a result it actually possesses some atmosphere.
