A wonderful pub that benefits from its close proximity to Lewisham University Hospital. This establishment with its abundance of wooden panelling has bucketloads of fake rustic charm. The main lure is the impressive selection of real ale and Belgian beer which can be enjoyed without intrusion from scary ale freaks. Some beers were served directly from barrels behind the bar. There is a very narrow elongated beer garden at the rear but in our opinion you should sit inside and admire the deciduous surroundings.
