NOTE:More spacious, quiet and architecturally unenthralling than Ye Grapes (just up the road), this is nevertheless an establishment worth paying attention to. A broad, dark pub in a fairly traditional style, it usually has tables empty even on a Friday night, and serves food until late. Which is damning it with the faint praise it so richly deserves.
